I have this problem with French Silk pie. I a) eat it all in two days and b) get major diarrhea after eating it.

Do I still eat French Silk pie?

Ohhhh I saw your status update on this – it is SO much more painful in this amount of detail 🙁 I want you to have your piiiiiiiiieeeeee! GAH! *hugs*

I hope you can at least get a refund for the key lime!

Oh I am HEARTBROKEN for you! I know that feeling well, and to be scuppered at the last moment by a factory mix up – I admire that you didn’t throw an epic tantrum worthy of a two year old. (Which, obviously, I wouldn’t have done either… 😉 )

As a chocolate lover, I felt your pain. It’s a special kind of frustration when something stands between me and chocolate. I’m impressed that you ate a banana – I would have bought the big pie.

It sounds like that pie is quite addictive. Just reading about it has made me want to go out and by one! I am so sad about your banana. That just seems so wrong somehow.

noooo! I inwardly cringed and made a face reading that. I like key lime but when you’re craving and EXPECTING chocolate… that is just… NO

I SO relate. If you are lucky enough to have a Village Inn in your area, they make the best French silk pie. You can either go there and buy a slice, or the whole pie! If not available, I have the best recipe for a close copy, I think originally from Bon Appetit.

Oh my God!! I’m now dying for chocolate pie! You’re right! Any other pie – or banana – is just not the same!!

I don’t like pie. I know, I’m weird. But when I buy ice cream (Ben and Jerry’s buy one get one) I sometimes pick up a spoon from the deli and taste a bite of every pint on the drive home. I’m an adult, I do what I want.

You poor, poor girl. Nothing is worse than getting pie from the commissary and them totally screwing it up.

However, at our commissary, we have small chocolate silk pies in the bakery area. Next to the AWESOME cheesecakes. Seriously, commissary has the best cheesecakes. That’s my weakness >:D

And I do not recommend making a chocolate silk pie. I did it once, all completely from scratch. It took me two days to make and it just wasn’t the same. Always get store made chocolate silk pie.

If you don't comment, then I'm just talking to myself -- and I do too much of that already.
